NGC PRE-GYM PROGRAM
Our Pre-Gym program is a fun and safe introduction to gymnastic skills and apparatus. Gymnasts will be improving their loco-motor and social skills through music, play, and physical activity.

NGC RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS
Ages: 5+ yrs / 8:1 Ratio

Our sequential, progressional gymnastics curriculum safely increases gymnast’s range of motion and body awareness while developing balance, coordination, and the ability to perform basic gymnastics skills. Early in the program, emphasis is placed on physical strength and flexibility in accord with the most current proven principles of physical development. A documented check of skills is performed to monitor the progression of skills from the beginner divisions (1 & 2) to the intermediate (3 & 4) to the advanced (5 & 6). Recommendations to move from one division to the next are made by the instructors.

DIVISION 1
Examples of necessary skills are forward rolls and a beginner cartwheel. A Division 1 class is designed for children 5 years and older who are new to the sport of gymnastics. This program will open their eyes to hundreds of new ways to move, swing, roll, bend, and balance their bodies with success. These gymnasts will become comfortable with gymnastics positions, skills, and apparatus while having FUN!

DIVISION 2
Examples of necessary skills are a backward roll, handstand, and a cartwheel. A Division 2 class is designed for children who have taken gymnastics for at least one year or more. These children are comfortable with their basic positions and skills, as well as understanding of each piece of equipment. In this class gymnasts will continue to train their basic skills and begin to add more difficult requirements to their mastered skills.

DIVISION 3
Examples of necessary skills are an arch back, round off, handstand .A division 3 Class is designed for students that show great improvement in strength and flexibility enabling them to master their basic skills. These gymnasts will begin to increase their strength and flexibility in order to introduce drills for more advanced skills. It will take one or more years to complete the requirements of Division 3.

DIVISION 4
Examples of necessary skills are bridge kickovers and a handstand forward roll. A Division 4 class is designed for students that have mastered their basic skills through strength, flexibility, form and technique. These gymnasts will learn advanced skill progressions on all Olympic events. It will take most gymnasts one or more years to complete the requirements for Div. 4.

DIVISION 5
Examples of necessary skills are a round off back hand spring and a front handspring. A Division 5 class is designed for students that have a solid foundation of strength, flexibility and basic skills and drills that are necessary for the attainment of advanced skills. These gymnasts will be performing extremely difficult skills on all Olympic events, therefore, it is necessary for these gymnasts to maintain their basic skills that have been the building blocks leading up to this level of gymnastics. Students must be recommended for this level.
